Henderson Summer - Boulder, CO

Henderson Summer will bring academically talented students from across Boulder County and surrounding areas to the campus of Alexander Dawson School for five weeks. Students will examine a specific topic in great detail, first with a disciplinary focus and then in project teams. The theme for the 2012 program is Food: Feeding Ourselves and the World.

Henderson Summer Enrichment Program for High-Achieving Students

What Henderson Summer offers students

  • Opportunities for high-achieving students in grades 6 & 7 to meet and study with similarly motivated peers from many different schools
  • Intensive, collaborative accelerated pace of study
  • State-of-the-art technological resources, with online access to these resources
  • Programs geared specifically toward high-achieving and highly motivated students
  • Guidance in addressing personal learning goals
  • Expert teachers
  • Introduction and exposure to other local and national enrichment resources

There is no cost for the program.

Tuition, transportation and meals will be covered by GB Henderson Education.  Henderson Summer is a non-residential program – daily transportation is provided.
Students will be chosen with representation from each public middle school in Boulder County and surrounding area.  Admission is highly competitive.

Applications will be accepted December 1, 2011 to MARCH 9, 2012.

Students will be notified of acceptance on or after March 19.
