A particular focus for Henderson Education is the integration of working professionals into all educational programming. With community support, students are able to work with both teachers and experts with specific knowledge and training as corporate leaders, engineers, business executives, doctors, scientists—anyone who works in a field that applies to student projects.

We believe that students learn best when core academic skills are brought to bear upon critical contemporary issues.  The support and guidance of working professionals is critical to the success of this model.  We have been fortunate to work with individuals and organizations that span the professions of business, government, and higher education.  In these troubling economic times, institutions may find that it is difficult to sustain public service commitments.  By working with Henderson Education, it is possible to provide specific, professional knowledge that not only serves the community but also can be an opportunity for professional growth.

A broad range of guest presenters have worked with our students. Support from community experts has been, and will continue to be a highlight of the summer. Corporate leaders, medical professionals, engineers, environmentalists and educators are just some of the fantastic people that shared their time, knowledge and information with us.
