Welcome and thank you for visiting our website. Since 1957, Alexander Dawson Foundation has been serving communities through its support of education. With the founding of GB Henderson Education (formerly Alexander Dawson Foundation Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning), we are pleased to be continuing and extending these efforts.

All organizations should seek excellence. Here is what we mean when we use the term in our name.

We recruit the best educators from across the community, the country, and the globe. In addition, we bring experts from business, government, and education directly into the classroom to work with our students.

The students in our programs have already distinguished themselves in the classroom. We give them additional resources to fully develop and take advantage of their drive and ability. 

Every summer a number of students from the Clark County School District in Nevada and the Adams-12, Boulder Valley and St. Vrain School Districts in Colorado are awarded full scholarships to attend the Dawson Center Summer program.

American educators face difficult choices, particularly in these trying economic times. While resources are stretched thin in all areas, services for high-achieving students are particularly threatened. No Child Left Behind legislation has a noble goal that we all support-raising the performance of every American student. With every incentive focused upon raising the floor of expectations, however, we have lost sight of the students who are raising the ceiling of possibilities. Henderson Education seeks to address this need.
